They use stolen credit cards and invent identities to defraud people shopping for a schnauzer puppy online. In the first email, the scammer will ask all the right questions, putting you through the motions to prove your suitability: how would we care for our puppy, how would we train him, how often would he be alone? Then the fraudsters emails will get shorter and normally keep to sms messages. This is because the first email is a template where as you are now dealing with the actual scammer. The “breeder” will ignore any questions about their affiliation with any clubs or organisations, and questions about the puppy’s parents. In addition to my last comment, the email used to reply to me was: [email protected]
The person’s name that was referenced in “testimonials” was: Bridney, but no name was used in the email correspondence.
I came across a very similar website to one that is listed here at petscams.com (queensschnauzerhome.com). The site I visited is queenschnoodleandandschnauzerhome.com. It seems to be the same people with a new site domain name. They advertise the puppies very cheaply and say in their initial form email, that they currently have a 50% price reduction until next month. After initially contacting them, they wanted me to pay the full price upfront, rather than accepting a deposit. Even though said I would pick up the puppy in person, they still suggested shipping the dog to me for the low price of $100. They said in their second email that they accept payment through Zelle, Walmart, and CVS Pharmacy. When I saw the older domain name here, (that site can no longer be opened) I realized that everything was too good to be true and this site was also a scam. I even found a place on their homepage that says, “We think you will love our kittens.” I also found it strange that they only gave their location as Edmond, OK with the zip code 73069, but they provided no complete physical address, even though I requested it for pickup. The phone number they gave me in their first email is 405 310 7954. I did not try to call it.
