This is very interesting.
I was emailing with a ‘Jeo’ at akcbichonpuppybreeder.com, for a couple of weeks.
I realized that: a) none of the pups were ever marked as ‘sold’ (There were 9 puppies available.)
b) the puppies were listed as being 8 weeks old, when they were supposedly born on March 8, 2021, so when I first noticed the website & started communicating with ‘Jeo’, they couldn’t have been 8 weeks old.
c) I was not asked for any money or cards, or any type of payment. I was more concerned about how I would pay ‘her’.
d) I was sent some pictures & even 2 videos for ‘Lola’, the pup that we were interested in.
e) when I called the number on the website, there was no ringtone. An automated voice came on that said, “Call rejected”. That was on May 12, 2021. I sent an email asking for another number & I never heard back.
f) When I checked the website the next day, the website was gone.
g) I had been checking websites to see if there were any reports about this company, finding nothing until May 14, 2021. Apparently there had been a report about ‘akcbichonpuppybreeder.com’, on May 3, 2021.
h) ‘Jeo’ even offered to meet me at the border, when I said that I was Canadian.
I’m sure that these people will be opening up under another website very soon.
I, too, was almost taken in by this website and I also noticed that the pictures and ages hadn’t changed. I talked to the guy a couple times, a couple weeks apart. He told me that he lived in Denver, then gave me the name of a supposed city in Colorado a different time. When I googled it, the name was a housing development in Denver. When I told him my grandson had offered to come see the puppy, he played the covid card and said no one could come to his house.
Almost got suckered last night. There were a few red flags, one of them being the ages of the puppies haven’t changed nor has the selection changed during the 2 weeks I’ve been looking at sites, searching for my new puppy.
Bad grammar, mis-spellings….thank god my naive, bleeding heart picked up on it before sending any money. And boy did they get pushy when I rescinded my offer. I blocked them before things went too far.
