They use stolen credit cards and invent identities to defraud people shopping for a terrier puppy online. In the first email, the scammer will ask all the right questions, putting you through the motions to prove your suitability: how would we care for our puppy, how would we train him, how often would he be alone? Then the fraudsters emails will get shorter and normally keep to sms messages. This is because the first email is a template where as you are now dealing with the actual scammer. This company is fraud, because right after I sent a Zelle transaction the money for the price for the puppy, they want to receive more money for the transportation they want $ 1,400.00 They don’t accept credit cards, Only cash. Is went I open my eyes I though something is wrong. I request my money back and they stooped the conversation and not responding anymore. They phone number this company use is 1717-282-2867.
Thank you for this information. Went through the process all day long with these scammers. One clue that opened my eyes was the fact that they asked me no questions as to where I live nothing about references which is odd for people that care about their pets and where they are going. Next huge flag was the fact of payment. I sent them a copy of my drivers license so they would know I was stupid and sincere. They kept offering different methods and couldn’t settle upon which first it was Zelle I don’t use and I offered Paypal, they suggested Walgreen or CVS. OMG IT HIT once they sent me a picture of a gift card and puppy. I also texted back a reputable business doesn’t take gift cards and they texted PayPal to ease my mind but send as a friend or gift. Last was pulling their info from them like email to use on the site they provided two and I texted it was a scam and I couldn’t afford to be taken and they didn’t respond. Crooks taking advantage of people is shameful.
