*Scammers use a physical address to appear more legitimate. The address will have no connection to the actual scam as they will be an innocent third party
Individuals who are looking to buy a dachshund puppy online are being targeted by scammers. These criminals have created a website called Chesterdachshund.com in order to look legitimate.
They post adverts on community websites advertising puppys.
After you contact the scammers about the puppy, the scammers state that the puppy needs to be transferred to their area and that requires an upfront payment. The prefered payment system is Moneygram, Western Union or Walmart to Walmart but they will accept any form of payment including bitcoin, iTunes vounchers or bank transfer.
Do not think that you can trace them if they use bank transfer as they will often use a “mule” who is not aware they are part of a scam. The down payment is then sent via wire transfer. The scammers then ignore your calls and emails or will contact you and tell you that something else has come up and they need further payment for the delivery of the puppy.
These criminals are happy for you to give them your Credit Card details which they will later use to empty your account. Of course once you have given them your credit card details they will demand that you pay by wire transfer!
Chesterdachshund.com will claim to deliver the puppy using a Scam Delivery company which is actually another scam website they set up in order to steal your money by charging for non existent delivery, a air conditioned travel crate, medical insurance for your puppy as well as multiple other fees.

Thanks for sharing your stories folks! The same thing was about to happen to me with exactly the same fake name!
The same guy is doing labs from this site https://jlabradorpuppies.com/available-puppies/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAoNWOBhCwARIsAAiHnEg7m-9EGLcV1MYuN8-_qqDPawm65yw3f18aOticzkRsIHELYxSlX7oaAjiqEALw_wcB he got $550 from me and now he is trying to get $1000 more for a dog crate
Not only are these 2 phone numbers associated with the Chester Dachshund, they are also on upbeatminiaturepuppies.com. The breeder claims to be a Brandon John Bray that will send you a text from (210)729-6316 and claims he lives in Texas, he sends you supposedly his drivers license (which I’m positive is fake or stolen). He starts off by sending you pictures of some random dog without saying who he is or that the original dog is no longer available. After a few texts asking who he is and why he was sending me pictures that was not the dog that I had already put down half on, said that the dog that I originally wanted is no longer available, due to his wife’s mistake and they had someone else that paid in full for that dog I wanted. I didn’t think anything of it, people make mistakes, so he sent me pictures of a few different dogs, I really liked a puppy name Dew, he said that he can make sure that she will be mine as long as I paid for her in full…..so i sent the other half. I kind of had a feeling this might be a scam but he kept in Constant contact with me with the whole process, why would a scammer keep in contact with me if I had already sent the money??? (Little did i know what was going to happen next). After he said he registered Dew into my name and gave her over to the shipping company, the shipping company called a bit after from #(512)543-3000. There was 2 guys that had extremely thick Russian or German accents that had called from this supposed Shipping Company saying that the guy that dropped the dog off, dropped her off in a basket and she needs to be shipped in a crate and in order to ship her, I need to pay for a crate that will be a $150 charge that is nonrefundable, which made since to me, then the first guy I spoke to proceeded to tell me that they sent me an e-mail to go ahead, read over it and call them back. I had looked at the e-mail and my husband said this is fake….real companies do not send documents from Microsoft pages. Things started to come to light for me. I spoke to the first guy on the phone and I was having a hard time understanding him, he was getting upset, not only because I was having a hard time understanding him but because what he was saying was not making any sense. He said that not only do I have to pay the $150 for the crate fee, but I also need to pay $700 on top of the $150 due to the COVID virus as of yesterday, which was 9/18/21……ummmmm this was a huge red flag. COVID has been around for a year and a half now and you are just now putting in place this protocol??? haha that’s ridiculous. And he wanted me to send it to him by Zelle. I told him that I feel like this is a scam (he got upset) I told him….okay I’ll pay it on my credit card, so if this is a scam I will not only be able to report you, but I will report it to my CC so i can get my money back, he did not like that, he went to second guy that he said was his manager and put him on the phone and starting making up excuses of why they will not take a CC. I told him I will not do that, I do not feel comfortable doing that. I asked for pictures for proof that they have the dog…they sent me pictures that the “breeder” had already sent me. I told the guy that this is bull s**t. He started to tell me that if I abandon the dog I will be charged with pet abandonment. I told him that I bought this puppy for my kids birthday and that this is not fair to me or my kids. He then starts to threaten me that if I do not pay the police will be at my doors in 45mins. I told him to send them, I didn’t sign a thing to state that I had actually committed to this dog. He didn’t like that lol. He then says, “No need to sign you gave your details to the breeder to process transfer of ownership for her paperwork and receipt for your payment showing you know about the purchase and want to abandon”. I stopped replying and no cops showed up lol. This was definitely a lesson learned. I will never do this again. I hope this helps someone to not make the same mistake.
Beware of Chester Dachshund website it believe it is a scam I purchased the dog now they want more. Also they are threatening me with dog abandonment if i don’t pay.
