She keeps the cost of the puppy low, but she partners with a pet transport company to make up additional money on the back end of the deal. For example, they charge for a cooling fan for a crate when the puppy is flying ($1,200) and for life insurance (only after being questioned becomes travel insurance) ($950). I traced the money I sent to Monic. I found it was spent at a retail store in Portland, OR. Ironically, Monic states she lives in NC.

After I refused to pay additional money, I received a letter from the pet transfer company saying I would be charged for puppy abandonment and face serious legal repercussions. I’d like to see them try.

I want a new pup. I recently lost my 14 year old collie and I’m heartbroken. Rebecca Monic has ruined this experience for me. I’d like to see the police stop Monic. Since I have a paper trail, I am going to submit everything to the Portland police department. Hopefully, they will put an end to her antics.
