They will lie, they will tell you sob stories, they will send you pictures of kittens which they have found online, they will assure you of their faith and religion – anything to get your money! These scammers offer huge discounts that no actual sphynx kitten breeder would ever offer.If you see an offer that is too good to be true, it probably is. After you have paid the (hugely discounted) initial fee for the kitten you will be introduced to the “shipping company”. The shipping company is simply another website created by the scammer to charge you even more fees for everything from delivery, an air conditioned travel crate, pet medication delivery for your kitten and even ask you to pay for premium pet food for your kitten! Thank you for this post. That was about to get a kitten from them!
I was scammed by this site! I put in my contact information into their website and received an email, call, and text from them the next day.
The email they used to contact me was: [email protected]
The number they used: (540) 316-0839
They sent an email with some questions to answer and pictures of their available kittens. I answered their questions and they agreed that I would be a good home for the kitten and that the one I was interested in was still available. They told me the cost of the kitten would be $650 plus $200 shipping fee, since they live in Richmond, VA and I am in Colorado. They told me they accepted Zelle, Google pay, or Apple pay. I went with Zelle and this is the information they gave me:
Zelle ID:: [email protected]
Account Name:: Andre Edwards
Amount: $850
I sent the money on 2/28/2022
After that they sent me a transfer of ownership certificate to sign. This document had the address they are apparently using:
202 Richmond Ave Colonial Heights, VA 23834 United States
After signing this they sent me a link to the shipping company they were using along with a tracking code. She would be arriving 3/02/2022 at 6:30pm. That night I got a strange message from the shipping company saying that the cat could not be shipped without a thermal crate, and a refundable deposit would have to be made to make sure she made it on the plane. I ended up sending money to a different Zelle account still believing there was a kitty being sent to me. The day she was suppose to be arriving I got another email from the company saying the cat could not be flown without pet life insurance. At this point I had had enough and emailed the original email asking what was going on and why the company kept asking for more money to ship the kitten. He told me he would “call the company”. He then sent another email explaining that it was for life insurance and that I should proceed with the payment. I knew I had been scammed and did not reply. The kitten obviously never arrived and probably never existed. This was heartbreaking not only because of my financial loss but because of the excitement I experienced. I recently had a cat tragically pass away and have been depressed for a while. I have always wanted a Sphynx and the thought of opening my heart and home for this kitten gave me optimism during a very dark time. Please take down this site and stop these people before it happens again!
