1. My daughter found the dog she liked before Christmas and a check on this company did not reveal scams.
2. I went into the hospital over New Year for emergency surgery and when I came out, my kids were still begging. I inquired with Sunrays Daschunds about the dog and she was still available-Peppy.
3. They wanted Google Pay or Apple Pay and we use neither and do not want to use. She would not take credit cards (FIRST RED FLAG I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN)
4. She sent me her bank account to wire or send ACH

That did not process the same day. It was cancelled by the bank. We are investigating this info deeper.
5. Then she requested I send her a paypal to her daughter’s account.
6. I sent $50 as a test to Rahab Gakuya rakuya159@gmail.com
Now it is showing as NON US UNVERIFIED after I open a dispute
7. After that went through she asked me to send to a different account of her other daughter.
I was a bit apprehensive, but we had been emailing back and forth. The grammar was good and did not lead me to believe I was dealing with a scam. I then sent a test to the second account: Alice Katia
katacy483@gmail.com and this is now showing as NON US. I wish I could have had a flag warning me about that when I was paying.
8. I asked about shipment of the dog and information on the dog and she said she will send all of that with shipment instructions upon receiving payment. We sent the remaining $625 to Alice Katia and received shipping instructions the next morning. We received the contract and a certificate of ownership.
9. I received a link to RUBICON CARGO SHIPPING the next morning with a tracking number and a link to the proposed pickup location in Colorado (13297 Andrews Dr, Denver CO 80297 )Rubicon Cargo Shipping, Address 2856 Lotus Pl, Loveland, CO 80537. Phone: 720-767-1843. Email: ship@rubiconshipping.com. and a well produced website with tracking info on our dogs location and proposed time for pickup at the airport.
10. As we got to the day of pickup-January 11th, I was inquiring about details and could not reach anyone at the shipping company and I emailed, called and then emailed Sunrays. She was quick to reply and said she would check on it. Then about 2 hours before we were to leave for the airport, she said she talked to the shipping company and they would be emailing me all the directions for pickup and terminal within the hour.
11. We received the email from the “shipping company” and they were requesting an additional $936-2000 for an upgraded crate or our dog could not complete the journey. Instantly I knew we were being scammed by these awful people. I called the Columbus OH airport and talked to the security there. They informed me they have had several calls about this scam and yes, it was a scam.
12. We instantly started deep diving on the web and found out their web service provider and submitted an abuse record. They were taken down in 10 minutes and they have not been live since.
13. We submitted a BBB claim on Sunrays and RUBICON. We want to get Rubicon taken down as I am sure they have many fraudulent websites that use them for fake shipments. Please help with this if you can.
14. Today I found out even though it is FAF payment, because it was a scam, Paypal may be able to help us. I will let you know what we find out.

If we can get the bank information and emails and paypals that lead to these people we may be able to shut them down and get some money back. Please help friends!
