Individuals who are looking to buy a bengal kitten online are being targeted by scammers. These criminals have created a website called Perezbengalkittens.com in order to look legitimate.
They post adverts on community websites advertising kittens.

After you contact the scammers about the kitten, the scammers state that the kitten needs to be transferred to their area and that requires an upfront payment. The prefered payment system is Moneygram, Western Union or Walmart to Walmart but they will accept any form of payment including bitcoin, iTunes vounchers or bank transfer.
Do not think that you can trace them if they use bank transfer as they will often use a “mule” who is not aware they are part of a scam. The down payment is then sent via wire transfer. The scammers then ignore your calls and emails or will contact you and tell you that something else has come up and they need further payment for the delivery of the kitten.

These criminals are happy for you to give them your Credit Card details which they will later use to empty your account. Of course once you have given them your credit card details they will demand that you pay by wire transfer!

Perezbengalkittens.com will claim to deliver the kitten using a Scam Delivery company which is actually another scam website they set up in order to steal your money by charging for non existent delivery, a air conditioned travel crate, medical insurance for your kitten as well as multiple other fees.

  1. I was just unfortunately scammed by the Perez Bengal Kittens… and I am so sad – it was for my daughter. My bad in the end for believing. However here is the information I have.
Asked for me to PAYPAL deposit 200 – I did – went to someone named Tabe Mercel
The used Globalpetport.com and they sent me a code for tracking – they never answered there phone nor do they have a voice mail.
He told me the cat had arrived and I needed to pay the balance but thy needed it right away and I needed to wire the money so they can release the cat and get it to me in the next hour – follishly, I did. $550 more.
I wired it to Michael Wong in newport virginia – he stated it was his son and his son was from his wifes first marriage when I questioned the difference in the last names.
After I wired the money – he call me and told me we miss the last delivery and was sorry but we can have the kitten as early as 7:30am Sunday (the next day) we were understanding.
The cat never came – at 9am he told me that it was California time and it would be 10:30. And of course, the cat never came.
At 2pm he send me a message saying that the delivery service that Had not responded to any of my messages or answered their phone had sent me a message….the message was form PET INTER HOME -petenterhomedelivery@gmail.com and it stated with terrible spelling that the cat needs a permit to come into the state and I need to send them an additional $700 of they would quarantine the kitten!
I called him and told him that the contract did not state that anywhere and that this was not a government form also that he can just give me the airline information and I will handle it at the airport because I going to get the cat before they quartenined it!!! He blocked me and has not answered me since other than tell me I have trust issues. Then blocked me – took my money and NO KITTEN!
the rep at the air port for him was James Byron according to global pet port – all fake names I am sure.
This is so wrong and mean – $750 gone… and I can’t believe people go to that great of length to scam someone – I would have given someone that desperate for money this – it is just not ok.
