Hi Elizabeth, to echo Marks comment:
Have an interactive video chat on Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp etc with the breeder, puppy and the puppies mother.
This is a simple thing for a breeder to do yet it is impossible for a puppy scammer.
Be aware that if a scammer wants to steal $500 dollars from you he will not just simply ask for $500. He will offer you a service for $1,000 and tell you that you only need to pay half!

Hi Elizabeth, our advice is always have at the very least a live vidoechat with the purported breeder so you can check if the puppy actually exists.

Hi, i am interested in a bull terrier pup from Anula in Darwin Northern Territory which is a suburb and i have the guys phone number and his name is joseph. i was wondering if anyone else has had problems with this particular person selling 9 wk old AAR registered pups.
trouble is i can get up there to see them but wont be able to come into West Australia. He says he can freight them down and also pay half now and half on delivery i am going to ring him tonight and see if i can speak to someone who i can understand as his accent was not great.
i will also ask if i can send someone around to look at pup and take a few videos and pics and see if they can accompany pup to airport so i know its legit. what else would i need to do. I dont like the idea of paying half etc i would prefer payment on delivery or get someone to buy it and freight it to me. thank you Liz
