These criminals have created a website called Maritzalabradorpuppies.com in order to look legitimate. They post adverts on community websites advertising puppys. After you contact the scammers about the puppy, the scammers state that the puppy needs to be transferred to their area and that requires an upfront payment. The prefered payment system is Moneygram, Western Union or Walmart to Walmart but they will accept any form of payment including bitcoin, iTunes vounchers or bank transfer. If you have any further information please post it in the comments section below. We are particularly interested in names, email address and phone numbers used by these scammers.
A few things from their web site were a red flag for me:
1. The dogs are listed as “American Labrador Retriever Terriers” (“Terrier”?)
2. Only ONE puppy is listed as “Reserved” and the rest are “Available”. Every other site shows a wait list for puppies.
3. Male dogs listed with a female name “Bailey”
4. Internet search netted me NO information of their location ANYWHERE.
5. No contact information on their web site, other than their listed email address.
6. After a week, still no change in the status of the puppies listed on their site.
Doing a puppy scam search netted me this web site, and found them listed here. Glad I did my due diligence.
Found this website. Contacted regarding a puppy. Was told to send payment via Zelle and that they would give me a discount for the shipping. They sent me photos of the dog as well as “mom and dad”. Also, sent me a clip of a puppy playing. When I asked about a video call said they presented enough already. They even sent a bill of sale document. The address they provided on the bill of sale I was able to look up on google maps. It showed as an apartment building. Was able to speak to a man with a foreign accent on the phone, he assured that they were not a scam. But he would not disclosed the vet name or shipping company name. At this point I started looking into the website and found this information. I texted the scammers stating that they are a scam and all communications stopped. Thank God I found this information before loosing $750.
I was scammed by Martiza Labrador Puppies this week!!!
