These criminals have created a website called Lepagebullterriers.com in order to look legitimate. They post adverts on community websites advertising puppys. After you contact the scammers about the puppy, the scammers state that the puppy needs to be transferred to their area and that requires an upfront payment. The prefered payment system is Moneygram, Western Union or Walmart to Walmart but they will accept any form of payment including bitcoin, iTunes vounchers or bank transfer. I just enquired as well, also not knowing this was a scam… exact same thing as what the other person said. Said his name was Joe and asked if now was a good time to text. He was pushy with the “shipping” option. I asked for a picture of the parents and a video of the pup I was interested in…. silence. So I searched their company and found this page. Glad I did! They used a different number with me though +1 (705) 910-3131.
I just received a text from a person named “Joe” after inquiring about a puppy using the contact section on the Lepage Bull Terriers site, not aware that it was a scam at the time.
The phone number is:
+1 (817) 755-9981
The person asked if now is a good time to text regarding the nonexistent puppy I inquired about. Obviously blocking the number now and not responding.
