Their website is http://www.aussiecavoodle.com and i tracked this page by searching for the 'so called' founders name Thomas Payne.
Looks like they've changed the name since the above, so even more of a reason why i should write this. Who wlse can we inform about this?

Seller -Thomas Payne Sn
When you email to ask about delivery of dog they state they will send a tracking number to further delay the scam period.
We paid $2900 and hope the bank will freeze their account a gain funds as let the bank know within 48 hours of payment and they should be able to reverse payment if account still open.
If there is no microchip number provided for the dog and no ABN or registered breeder number for the business then a scam.
Have reported to our bank and completed a Police report and will be also contacting Federal scam options

I enquired for one of the puppies which he said was still available then I requested he send more photos which he did. We decided to go ahead on that particular puppy then he sent me the sales contract and things progressed. I looked up the BSB of the account number and it is part of the NAB bank so didn’t think too much of it until I then transferred $1850 and the bank it went into was Cuscal which I have never heard of- thats when I had a bad feeling of this whole thing.

Later that day I received an email with the transport info and tracking number, I researched the freight company and the first thing that came up was a Scam you tube video on their website…I called the mobile number on the sales contract they sent from Janice Andres and a guy called Rico answered and assured everything was all good and he had been busy at work and was about to jump in the shower. I looked at all scheduled flights out of Bernie and Davenport around 11am the next day and none were showing.

The nail in the coffin was when we did another look at the extra photos he sent of the puppy, one of the photos was the puppy at a cafe, we googled the cafe and can you believe it was one just 20mins away from us, we then found the same photos he sent me on Instagram. This particular dog has lots of followers on Instagram and then one photo really stood out for us as the background location looked very familiar, it was around the corner from where we live, another photo showed the front of the house and I went there today to ask the owners if they have a Cavoodle, and guess what yes they do, it was the exact dog they had for sale on the website. I explained the story to them and they were obviously shocked.

I have also done all the bank follow ups and I guess the positive news is that his account has been frozen and I was informed late today that there are funds in the account but they wouldn’t say how much so hopefully there is a chance we can get some of it back.

We are still keen to get a Cavoodle but this time I will be actually going to look at the dogs parents and seeing the puppies for myself before I part with any money again.

All the best guys and thanks for sharing the stories and hopefully this Scumbag gets tracked down.

I just didn’t see the signs until after I had paid $1,950 in full and went to show my daughters the pictures of the puppy that was going to arrive 48 hours later but the website was then closed.

It was only when I did a Google search that I found this website and realised my mistake, unfortunately I have not been able to contact my bank, they aren’t working 24/7 due to COVID. I have informed the the authorities and hopefully I will get my money back but that will not make up for the heartbreak my three young daughters are now experiencing.

I feel so stupid that I let my eagerness get in the way and cloud my judgement, please do not fall for this scam like I did.

They are not legitimate. I received the contract but they would not supply microchip detail or registered breeder number or vet details of the vaccination. There were other things that did not add up also.
We are rather disappointed but fortunately we did not loose any $$’s just a little time.
Makes you wonder what type of people do these type of things. Obviously no social conscience or ethical standards.

The web site seemed to be legit, a few spelling mistakes but I should of known then, emails about puppy and food diet, her papers and vet records were being collected to come with her. I asked for her flight number and airline she was going to travel. NO information was sent regarding this and then I was suspicious. Then I got an email stating a delay as they are in Burnie,Tasmania were the city went into lockdown for Covid-19. Quite a coincidence.
I cannot believe I didn’t see the warning signs sooner until I got to the delivery stage and they asked for over $1000 for a special crate for Covid-19 safe travel on the plane out of Burnie, Tasmania, which was locked down last week!
I called the cargo shipping company, spoke to a man named “Jason” saying the breeder left the pup with the wrong sort of travel crate for Covid-19 and that if we paid $1000+ the pup would be able to “catch up to the flight” and still be on delivery! Then I was told once puppy delivered we would receive 97% refund on crate and insurance. I called the cargo company and spoke to “Jason” he said breeder didn’t have correct crate for travel so that’s why they emailed an update of puppy on hold at airport until this extra crate and insurance fee was paid ASAP.
I knew then what I’d been drawn into and then called “Janice” one of the breeders. “Janice” didn’t answer but another man, claimed he was “Janice” husband, I explained who I was (puppy purchaser) and wanted to check what was going on!
There were little kids playing in the background which quickly went quiet.
This husband said yes they didn’t leave a Covid-19 crate and to pay the extra and they will refund that fee on delivery. I went along with him in the conversation and the longer I spoke, his voice was definitely “Jason” who I’d called 5 mins before.
I said that fee was not agreed to and that I’d see. ( not wanting to alert them I knew what they are doing)
I then wrapped up the conversation and asked who he was, he said “Raquel”, I said I was thinking that was a lady, he laughed.
I called the bank and reported them, getting bank refund under fraud and will be reporting them to Australian Federal Police Cyber and scam crimes.

The address on the website is (6 Colegrave Road, Upper Burnie, TAS 7320) and the information that is on the contract is as below:
Janice L Andres,
559 Pass Road,
Mornington, Tas
7018.
0488 890 743
They use the email homeofvaoodles@gmail.com
They are happy to supply information about the dog as well as additional pictures and videos however do not trust these as they are not real.
