I selected a puppy, but didn’t feel positive about my interactions with this breeder. So, I waited about a week and searched for their website again ; however, it was not operational. I texted the lady I had communicated with to ask her why the website was no longer available. She, Mia, replied that they had a website developer working on it.
I next called her, but there was no answer. A few minutes later I got a call from the same number. There was a man with an accent who told me his wife, Mia, had asked him to contact me about the puppy I was going to pay $650 for plus an additional $200 for flight delivery by a puppy nanny. I asked if I might speak with Mia and he said she could not speak English. I told him that was fine, but she should at least say hello to me since I was planning to make such a large purchase from her. He was insistent that she couldn’t speak English. I asked how she, Mia, was able to write so many long emails and texts to me about her puppies that she was trying to sell online. He said she used a Google translator. I replied that I knew that was possible; however, she needed to just say hello. He hung up and I haven’t heard from them again. Mia texted me that they were located in Richmond, VA and this is their phone number: +1 804-636-8570. This is their contact information: fluffypawsbichon@gmail.com.
I was asked to pay for the puppy plus shipping by purchasing an Apple Gift card for $500 and sending a photo of the barcode on it and a photo of my receipt to Mia. Upon delivery of the puppy, I was asked to send the remaining fee, $350, by the same method. I did not send any money. This is obviously a scammer!
