I was SO CLOSE to falling for this scam yesterday! But there were MANY red flags…ie, saying they couldn’t FaceTime with the pup, not giving me a courier contact name until I provided ALL my information, I spoke to the person on the phone, and he could barely answer my questions coherently, his area code is Colorado, but he said they were located in Alabama, texts were VERY LONG, and based on this person’s speech pattern and question answering manner, I Believe they were fabricated… the name he gave was Alain Jeffery, but the Venmo name he gave was Larry Holster..anyway, the more we talked, the less confident I was that this was actually going to be a legit transaction.
