*Scammers use a physical address to appear more legitimate. The address will have no connection to the actual scam as they will be an innocent third  party

Individuals who are looking to buy a kitten kitten online are being targeted by scammers. These criminals have created a website called Exoticpawmainecoons.com in order to look legitimate.
They post adverts on community websites advertising kittens.

After you contact the scammers about the kitten, the scammers state that the kitten needs to be transferred to their area and that requires an upfront payment. The prefered payment system is Moneygram, Western Union or Walmart to Walmart but they will accept any form of payment including bitcoin, iTunes vounchers or bank transfer.
Do not think that you can trace them if they use bank transfer as they will often use a “mule” who is not aware they are part of a scam. The down payment is then sent via wire transfer. The scammers then ignore your calls and emails or will contact you and tell you that something else has come up and they need further payment for the delivery of the kitten.

These criminals are happy for you to give them your Credit Card details which they will later use to empty your account. Of course once you have given them your credit card details they will demand that you pay by wire transfer!

Exoticpawmainecoons.com will claim to deliver the kitten using a Scam Delivery company which is actually another scam website they set up in order to steal your money by charging for non existent delivery, a air conditioned travel crate, medical insurance for your kitten as well as multiple other fees.

  1. Exoticpawmaincoons has an IP address from Temp, Arizona which I can’t find in my files for now. Always, always check the list of breeders with The Cat Fancier’s Association. Since payment information is confusing, go to a website of a good trusted breeder and see how they have it set up. Make sure the breeder is from the Cat Fancier’s Association. This goes both ways. Plenty of people working hard at scamming good hard-working people

  2. Hi almost got scammed today. His name Galdwin Levy, same phone address etc.
dammit ! Got my money back. I figured it out before sending references number for money gram to them. Today is January 8 2019
Be very aware. Everything looks legit but they obviously don’t speak English. When I text asking for ID all I got back was hi. They were only trying to get partial payment of 450 for deposit. Dammit.

  4. I looked into this company as well. I received a quick response at first, but after I informed them that I only wanted to pick up and pay in person the responses stopped. I sent a text questioning their legitimacy and was sent a text saying, “They were good God fearing people”. I tried to set up a pick up time and never received any further messages. Luckily, I never sent them any money. I’m sorry others have been scammed by them.
*side note: I recently learned that PayPal isn’t a reliable payment method as the payee can revoke the payment up to 7 days later. Please don’t except this payment for a high priced item.

The ## is different, but I am telling you- they are the same folks~ and if you look at Exotic Paws web site, it says 2015-2018 as well~ also, you can look on the CFA/TICA websites and research their “cattery” name to see if they are registered with them~trust me~ they are not

  7. I was scammed too I paid $1050 two Money Gram money orders and I didn’t get my Maine Coon cat as well. His name is Danny Bryson the phone number he used was 703-574-7498. He has a Russian accent and gets off of “work” at 9:30pm. I have already reported him to Money Gram for them to investigate him. He has changed the name of the business to Pro Maine Coons. I hope they find him and bring justice to all of us. Maybe to get are money back.

  8. Hi, I just reported these people to the fraud services and to the authorities. I realize that this is probably pointless… but I wanted to let others know that they have blocked my number since I confronted them with the legitimacy of this claim. I asked them about this and they refused to answer or acknowledge that they stole from me. I am not surprised, but wanted to let them know that I know they are thieves. Anyone, please learn from my lesson and do not give these people ANY monies in any way…

  9. Wow!! Wish this had been out when I contacted them about a kitten. I do believe I have been scammed… tried everything I knew at the time to make sure this was a legit business. This is the website and information I used… Have contacted the gentleman and asked him to please explain this scam and he, of course, has not responded. I am quite sick to my stomach….. but a lesson hard learned. The name I have for this contact person is Randolph Caeman. I have already sent him $$… was supposed to pick up the kitten on the 17th of September. Still owed him $350. Paid the deposit. Hope this helps to keep others from being scammed.
