Zelle has their bank account name and their bank account has the person’s name and info as far as address but they won’t cough it up without suing Zelle and then getting Zelle to turn over in discovery the bank name and then adding the bank to the suit to get them to turn over the personal info.

If my understanding is correct, to utilize Zelle, you need a US bank account. A bank on the receiving end of a Zelle transaction knows exactly who is getting the money. A suspicious transaction report is quite common for bank and needs no qualifying dollar amount to get the attention of the financial crimes people. To me, the fact that more isn’t done simply means they don’t have the desire to.
