In the first email, the scammer will ask all the right questions, putting you through the motions to prove your suitability: how would we care for our puppy, how would we train him, how often would he be alone?Then the fraudsters emails will get shorter and normally keep to sms messages. This is because the first email is a template where as you are now dealing with the actual scammer.The “breeder” will ignore any questions about their affiliation with any clubs or organisations, and questions about the puppy’s parents. The main focus now is convincing you to pay as soon as possible. The puppy will be shipped to you by the scammers perferred delivery company. There is no other option. If you insist on picking up your new cavalier king charles spaniel they will eventually agree. They provided me with the same address in Detroit – I searched it in google maps. The home doesn’t exist. They put a pin on the map, on a piece of public lawn on the side of the road.
Asked us to transfer money for 2 cats via Zelle. But we thought it was suss and researched it more – they are a scam.
I was just about ready to purchase a puppy, but the price seemed to good to be true. I started searching the physical address 20415 Edinborough Rd. Detroit MI 48219 and I saw this site and she only uses Zelle for receiving payment.
Zelle’s website says only use zelle with family and close friends because Zelle does not refund your money. I read a lot of questions Zelle posted and my final thought was no way I would use that site. I wasn’t cheated out of money because of Zelle and information on this site. Thanks keep posting folks!
