The trouble with a purchase like a puppy is that the internet is the most common place to look.
No-one wants to support cruel breeding farms, and most legitimate breeders have websites and also advertise online.
Criminals take advantage of this by creating their own websites and paying for advertising using stolen credit cards.

These scammers have multiple websites which sell other puppys besides pugs. They normally go for the most popular breeds as they can find the most victims.

If you enquire about one of their puppys they will offer you huge discounts. They will even throw in the best puppy food for your new puppy! will claim to deliver the puppy using a Fake Delivery company which is actually another scam website they set up in order to steal your money by charging for non existent delivery, veternary bills, medical insurance for your puppy as well as multiple other fees.

To see more scam websites involving pug puppys have a look at Pug Puppy Scams.

Who registered was registered on August 5, 2019 with NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC. .

It was registered using the following details:

Name: Bern Puppies (
Address: 22 little falls street,
South Africa

These details are correct as of today (August 8, 2019) but the name and address could possibly belong to an innocent third party if the domain was registered using a stolen credit card. was registered using the email address
It was registered 3 days ago. on August 5, 2019  and expires August 5, 2020.

To look at it another way, this “company” only started August 5, 2019 and does not plan to be using the website after August 5, 2020 as it has only a 1 year registration.

Would you trust these people enough to pay them money?

  1. Avoid being scammed I told them on what’s up that I’ll like to collect the puppies personally and pay there at the shop. Bern says they don’t do walk in as they deliver.. I ask why deliver as I’m willing to collect? Don’t be scammed folks are desperate out here..

  2. Hi so glad to have found your complaint was almost scammed by the same group Bern puppies. A lady called Anna answered my email by whatsapp
. I tried to call her on 081 021 9129 but she won’t answer. They are Also from Richard’s Bay and said she could get the puppy to me by this afternoon in jhb. A bit fishy I then asked for an updated photo and was told courier will send a photo just before take off. they need to be stopped.

  3. I was looking for puppies on Gumtree and saw the ad from Bern Puppies. there is only a whatsapp number and email address. I sent message and they replied immediately, said they can deliver on my doorstep today still….. a bit impossible as they are in the Richards Bay area and I am in Western Cape. I said I have a friend in Richards Bay and would like for her to go visit them first and see if the puppy is in good health. They replied that they do not accept collections and only do deliveries and if I am not happy with the puppy they will refund me….. very weird……
