Averyexotickittens.com

If someone's advertising a bargain on a purebred pet, it's probably a scam. If they are linked to Averyexotickittens.com then it IS a scam.

  1. I totally feel so stupid for loosen 780 dollars to scammers I thought that I was going to get the kitten Lynn and as others like me were so excited to think that I was finally going to receive the kitten I always dreamed of. Please do not fall for this scam. Like I did. It’s such a heart breaker.

  2. Thank you so much for this information. It’s really the only I dictation I’ve had that the site is a scam, I’m so thankful I came across this. I got an email reply with questions that seemed caring, but no additional pictures as requested. Again, so very thankful for you and this post.

  4. Averyexotickittens.com are definitely a scam. They got $780 out of me. I feel like such an idiot for falling for it too. I tried to get Maggie. They also had the pet delivery service Amarex Pet Delivery try to get $1500 for a thermal crate. It was an awful experience. I have my fingers crossed that I can get my money back.

  5. Thank you Mark for your time in dispensing such invaluable information! You’re saving us a lot of heartache and $. I wish I would have read your post before getting my hopes up on bringing home a kitty on their website. We were so excited and then it was such a huge disappointment to find out it was just a scam. I would have been devastated if I had gone through the whole process and lost $ too.

BTW, after I talked to him on the phone, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to send me a video of the cats with him/family member. He has yet to respond.

Also, there’s a very similar website at https://joyexoticshorthair.com/available-kittens/. Their response to my initial inquiry was very similar to Avery’s. Then when I told them we weren’t interested anymore, they sent me a canned response with payment information.

    • No worries Jennifer glad to help you, I never enjoy seeing people lose their hard earned $$ too! As a golden rule, if its on our website then its being used to defraud consumers as we do all the leg-work researching these websites. Best, Mark.

  6. Hi Mark, were you directly defrauded by them? I just talked to the guy by phone and he claims that someone is using their website to scam others. However, when I asked him if he could give me references to contact, he was hesitant. I’m really bummed if this is truly a scam cause their kittens are so cute.

    • Hi Jennifer, I am one of the researchers and moderators of this website. I can personally verify that this site is being used by criminals to defraud consumers. Furthermore, the individual that you are speaking to is using a common scam tactic of saying “someone else is using my website.” As a piece of advice, do not pay any deposit until the so-called buyer can prove that the pet exists. This of course, can easily be proved through a video-call with the seller and they can pickup the kitten and show it to you.

  7. It is really a scam? I’ve been talking about a kitten with them and I said they ship the kittens either with American Airlines or delta but everything I’ve seen online says the two airlines don’t ship exotic shorthairs.
