Individuals who are looking to buy a maine coon kitten online are being targeted by scammers. These criminals have created a website called in order to look legitimate.
They post adverts on community websites advertising kittens.

After you contact the scammers about the kitten, the scammers state that the kitten needs to be transferred to their area and that requires an upfront payment. The prefered payment system is Moneygram, Western Union or Walmart to Walmart but they will accept any form of payment including bitcoin, iTunes vounchers or bank transfer.
Do not think that you can trace them if they use bank transfer as they will often use a “mule” who is not aware they are part of a scam. The down payment is then sent via wire transfer. The scammers then ignore your calls and emails or will contact you and tell you that something else has come up and they need further payment for the delivery of the kitten.

These criminals are happy for you to give them your Credit Card details which they will later use to empty your account. Of course once you have given them your credit card details they will demand that you pay by wire transfer! will claim to deliver the kitten using a Fraudulent Delivery company which is actually another scam website they set up in order to steal your money by charging for non existent delivery, a air conditioned travel crate, medical insurance for your kitten as well as multiple other fees.

It was registered using the following details:

Name:Master Roshi (

These details are correct as of today (July 4, 2019) but the name and address could possibly belong to an innocent third party if the domain was registered using a stolen credit card. was registered using the email address

  1. Just today all of this happened to me — just like Dawn Hopkins reported – virtually word for word. “Harris” was my preferred cat. I am soooooo disillusioned —— have tried shopping for Ragamuffin kittens and found that they were kittens of a Ragdoll & Ragamuffin……… they didn’t have a website and sold their kittens via FB. I was trying to find “Harris”’s website and googled “Mainecoon002” and landed on this scammer advisory. WTF. I would have sent a deposit….. thank God they did NOT call me because “Harris” had me hook line & sinker. I just want a kitten ….

  2. I just saw your website comment and I want to SADLY THANK YOU! I was looking for a Maine Coin to purchase..but wanted a Certain “Look”.I was looking on September 21,2019 and came across fell in love with one of their photoed”Available”cats and inquired via email. The next day I received a reply and was asked about myself to reply on what my information could let them know I would be a loving home.I then responded back in a personal in depth detail of my prior history with cats. The next day I received an e-mail stating that they thought I would be a good home for “Harris”.They then sent me a Very detailed message about the health, shots, food they were using, vet.certification of health and wellness, infor.about whether I was to come get “Harris” or wanted him shipped “Free”(they said they had a free shipping voucher from a company they used, .They also sent me several GORGEOUS pictures and a video of “Harris”. I Very Very seriously was going to try and get this cat.So the next day,I sent an email requesting that they either call me or give me a number to talk directly to them because what they didn’t know..was ,that I was going to try and ask them if they would take payments. So I tried to email and had a problem.I thought it was because of my location. So later on I tried to email again, and did not know if it went through. In total I emailed 4 times and Never heard anything. So it has been about 2 weeks and I couldn’t remember the Website I had been ON when intially looking for Maine Coone Cats.I had been ON so many. This really bothered me that I never heard anything after that from them and I searched for several days ..until tonightOct.5th 2019 I FOUND THE WEBSITE AGAIN AND SENT ANOTHER EMAIL.I then told them I had been searching for their website, couldn’t remember and finally found them again and was still interested in “Harris” and could they call me or give me a number so I could talk to them .About 5 minutes later I received an email from them.BUT NOT IN RESPONSE TO THE RECENTLY SENT EMAIL.IT WAS AN EMAIL THAT I SENT THEM ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO.IT WAS LINKED TO A REPLT SAYING THAT THEIR PHONE FELL INTO THE BATHTUB AND WAS GETTING FIXED SO I WAS TO REPLY BACK BY EMAIL FOR QUESTIONS!THEN I STARTED LOOKING ON THE WEBSITE AND TRIED TO GOOGLE INFO.IT WAS THERE THAT I SAW YOUR POSTING!THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR LETTING ME KNOW THIS ABOUT THIS SCAM!! I SENT A VERY NASTY EMAIL TO THEM AFTER THAT! BY THE WAY THE EMAIL ADDRESS THAT THE PICTURES AND VIDEO THEY SENT ME WAS

BIG SCAM their agency doesn’t exists and they use the same message as the other scammers
They asked me to send money by money gram
Then they told me they had to change the crate due to the weather and that the size is not good (kitten is 10 weeks) everything is bigger than the kitten. The pilot knows there’s pets in the plane he will never lower the temperature so the pets could freeze to death.

  4. I sent a $200 deposit to before I did all my research. The email address that I communicated to was the aforementioned and they asked me to send the other $300 to a different Zelle acct claiming it was the guy who lives with her and she is at a wedding in ny right now and unavailable to get the money (this is what made me suspicious). The second account is I am going to call the $200 a loss at this point, I am just glad I didnt send the other $300. Btw they ask for $500 for a cat, but after you add in vet fees and about $250 to ship the cat they would actually be LOSING money, so that’s another reason to send up a red flag. I hope this keeps someone else from getting scammed in the future.

  5. I found out today these ppl are scammers. Sent money thru ZELLE I have reported them to zelle and they are alerting. Their company for scam alert. Email address used is If any way to get our money back pls let me know.

    • Hi Terri, since the money was sent through Zelle there has to be a US-based mule to pick up your amount. I would contact law enforcement and give them the details of the payment since they can arrest the mule. Also any evidence you have email chains etc are helpful.
