I found out I was being scammed today. My husband and I have been wanting to get a Belgian Malimois puppy and I came across a website that breaded them. which seemed legit so I messaged them last week and that night got a text from 786-638-8388 saying that the puppy I was interested was available, etc. the conversation continued the next day. I should have known it was a scam through text! He eventually called me when I made a decision. He had a Spanish accent, pretended he couldn’t hear me, and had terrible reception. Says they were based in Miami FL. Requested a payment through Zelle and gave me his info. $600 for the dog and I decided I wanted it delivered so he said that’s an extra $150. After talking to my bank it went through, they first blocked it for possible scam. I asked for details and when to receive my puppy, the next day he texted with a website swifttransportagency.com with a confirmation number to confirm tracking. All of a sudden I had to pay over $1000 insurance to ship my puppy! The company I got the email from was support@swiftanimaltransportation.com I did some research and found these scam alerts! Also found transcontinentalpetexpress.com exact same page but different phone number! Once I figured it out I tried calling his phone number many times and no answer. I saved all of the phone numbers and the different websites I found if anybody is Interested! BE CAREFUL!!!!! Never thought this could happen to me!!!

Their second email sounded a fishy so I started googling and found this site. I also found one of the pictures of the kitten in question on a British pet adoption site. I’m glad I trusted my gut.

I’m 1000 miles away, but have relatives in Dallas to check them out. They didn’t ask for money up front, they asked for my basic information and said a pet transport group would get in touch and arrange payment. When I told them I had relatives in town and they could take possession of the puppies for me, their communication stopped. E-mail finally released a telephone # that was from New York. Shame on people like this!!! Moral of the story, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is not.

Unfortunely I never talked to them on the phone until I refused to send any more money. I did tell them I have contacted the FBI.
