I reported it via the attorney generals of Florida where I live and Colorado where the scammer was from. I did get a generic letter response from the AG of Colorado saying they would look into it. A year later and their Puppy scam website and Facebook presence are still there. Gmail and Google Pay never responded to my reporting. How did you report to Facebook. I can find nothing when I google it.

I’m trying to get the word out on a Papillon scammer on Facebook.
WARNING…”MS. CATHY” IS A SCAMMER.
Ms. Cathy IS PART OF AN ELABORATE SCAM. She got me for $950. “Ms. Kathy” posted that she had a Papillon named “Lola” available. The picture posted was of a cute brown and white Pap, 15 months old with one upright ear and one drooping ear. She said I had to pay via Zelle or CashApp, two favorites of Scammers. I didn’t use either and she said I could use PayPal to send the money. She sent this info to me to make the payment to: her son who has a Paypal account dincherjjed@gmail.com KARIM. When I tried to send it it showed PayPal was trying to process the payment in Phillipine pesos. She explained it away saying that had to do with a puppy they just shipped to the Phillipines and gave me this info to send the payment to:Paypal -@kellybacon829 Email mikemos286@gmail.com. This was her “son’s” Paypal info too. The payment went through but was pending 2 days as it cleared. During that time she kept asking for me to put $950 on my Paypal account and transfer it under “family and friends” to speed up the process so that she could ship “Lola” the next day. I told her I wanted to wait for the payment to clear. In the meantime she kept telling me that her “son” did not receive the payment. I called my bank, and they said the payment had cleared and exited from my account. PayPal when I called told me to explain how he should accept the payment through his account. I IM’d “Cathy” who said he got it and they would ship the next day. I got a text message on my phone from the “son” saying the shipper was trying to reach me. “Ms. Cathy” IM’d me via Facebook the link to the shipper with a Tracking number: Tracking number WPC087519869445-CARGO https://fastwayglobaltracking.com FASTWAYGLOBALTRACKING. I confirmed my shipping info on their site. Next, I get a text message from the shipper saying I have to pay a “refundable” insurance fee of $800 followed by this word salad: “once the custom is paid your package will be granted a diplomatic status for safe delivery and a new status will be applied to package in transit” Then they go on to ask how I want to proceed with my payment and list the same payment options that “Ms. Cathy” gave me to pay for Lola. The “tracking info includes: Cathy vieru, 2307 Gravier St, New Orleans LA 70119, 985-497-1142 cathyvieru@gmail.com. Ms. Cathy also said the insurance was refundable.

Another scammer tried to get me for a “thermal crate” There is a special place in hell waiting for people who prey on others. They will get their day of reckoning eventually.

I sent him $250 for his dog (jack Russell ) for down payment. He wrote that there will be no other fees charged. That He he will deliver it next day. Next day I received a msg saying that I need to deposit another $200 for delivery. This when I smell the scam.
I request the reimbursement of my moneys and he refused. Then He shot me out of the FB chat.

She claims to have puppies for sale and wants payment through ZELL (red flag 1) for a price below market (red flag 2) and then tells you they will be shipped in the cabin with a nanny. Given the price charged this is unrealistic.

Next you get a message with a link to a fake shipping company called Ship Safe Logistics which send you a series of email and messages asking for a $1,200 to $2,500 “deposit’ via ZELL for a special “electronically controlled air-conditioned crate” that meets some bogus regulation. They introduce urgency by saying you must pay now to make sure your puppy makes the flight. I told them I was not stupid enough to get scammed twice in one day.

He was listed as a moderator on one of the Westie pages that I’ve been in for years. He even had 3 people vouch for him on the page. Then I checked his personal profile, which dated to 2016 and had several Westie pictures. He supposedly wanted a $400 deposit for a pup, but I only initially sent $50. It was after the $50 that his language and insistence got weird. He was supposedly local, so I kept insisting on meeting for the balance and he disappeared! Now I can’t even find the group, so I’m guessing he blocked me from it so I can’t tell future victims. Being a moderator of a puppy group, with thousands of members, makes people think you might be a little more trustworthy! His name is Tony Johnson.
