Puppy scams, Kitten scams and Horse Scams?

Everyone by now knows about Puppy Scams but Pet Scammers are not loyal to any breed or species. Although photos of puppies are the most frequent  bait for puppy scammers they will also pretend to sell Kittens, Horses, Fish and even Tortoises!

All of these “breeders” have several things in common

  1. They are criminals
  2. They do not have any pets to sell
  3. They are not who they say they are
  4. They are not where they say they are

As of today, the most popular scam we have seen by far is the Puppy ScamOut of all breeds the most popular breed is the Yorkshire Terrier (8.9% of scam websites) followed closely by French Bulldogs (8.3%). This is not because scammers have an abundance of Yorkies or Frenchies , they have neither, instead they will use the breed that brings them the most return and drop any websites that they find do not bring them a good return.
