When I requested verification of legitimacy, the reply was: “I’m a Christian man and have a family to feed. For the past 11 years now, this has been my life. Got no reason to jeopardize my business and my family for any reason.” Of course, this really started the alarm bells to clanging. I replied that I’d like to have a phone conversation. I do not know this person’s name. I did look up their address on google maps, and the address does exist. I selected a puppy, but didn’t feel positive about my interactions with this breeder. So, I waited about a week and searched for their website again ; however, it was not operational. I texted the lady I had communicated with to ask her why the website was no longer available. She, Mia, replied that they had a website developer working on it.
I next called her, but there was no answer. A few minutes later I got a call from the same number. There was a man with an accent who told me his wife, Mia, had asked him to contact me about the puppy I was going to pay $650 for plus an additional $200 for flight delivery by a puppy nanny. I asked if I might speak with Mia and he said she could not speak English. I told him that was fine, but she should at least say hello to me since I was planning to make such a large purchase from her. He was insistent that she couldn’t speak English. I asked how she, Mia, was able to write so many long emails and texts to me about her puppies that she was trying to sell online. He said she used a Google translator. I replied that I knew that was possible; however, she needed to just say hello. He hung up and I haven’t heard from them again. Mia texted me that they were located in Richmond, VA and this is their phone number: +1 804-636-8570. This is their contact information: fluffypawsbichon@gmail.com.
I was asked to pay for the puppy plus shipping by purchasing an Apple Gift card for $500 and sending a photo of the barcode on it and a photo of my receipt to Mia. Upon delivery of the puppy, I was asked to send the remaining fee, $350, by the same method. I did not send any money. This is obviously a scammer!

I couldn’t reach her by phone, text nor email it was like the company didn’t even exist. So I contacted my and reported her but it wasn’t nothing they could do so I am now out of my money and there gone to set up a new website to scam people this is crazy something needs to be done.

1. I asked about references. I received an email back about this couples age (52 & 60) and how they have been doing this for 13 years. In 13 years not one positive reference?

2. The email said they weren’t going to advantage of hard working people. A definite scammer line.

3. I inquired about shipping to Charleston, South Carolina. The address on the contract says Denver. An email from them said shipping 8s is $200 with a “nanny.” NO WAY! i priced out a round trip flight and it was at least $300, not including anyone’s time.
